Community Karaoke
Karaoke parties are held each Wednesday evening in Clubhouse 1 from 5:30-9:30. On Jan. 7, the group celebrated birthdays—Elvis Presley’s, along with some of the club’s popular singers, David Noble, Sally Glausser and Marianne Bartel. The evening featured many of Elvis’s greatest hits.
The first three songs set the theme with top Elvis favorites, sung by Ray Geierman, Tony Tupas and Walt Bier. Wayne Urban, Walt Piippo and several others kept the momentum going with more well-loved tunes. Marty Miller and Ruth Haberman added to the joy with a lively rendition of “I Got You Babe.” Between dancing to the strong beats of many songs, everyone enjoyed pizza and ice cream bars served by Judi Ornoff and Pat Paternoster.
Karaoke practice sessions are held each Monday from 1-3 p.m. upstairs in Clubhouse 6. It’s a favorite time for many to refine a song or try something new. Join the group on Wednesdays to sing—or simply to socialize and enjoy the fun.
