Newspaper Delivery

Many residents wonder: why is the newspaper date-marked Thursday if it’s often delivered on Wednesday?

The answer is simple. Newspapers are delivered to the Amphitheater every Wednesday, and the delivery time varies. Once the papers arrive, carriers have until 10 a.m. Thursday to deliver the newspapers to their assigned route. This flexibility allows carriers to adjust to special circumstances—for example, to avoid delivering during inclement weather, or to allow them extra time to bag and rubber-band papers when needed.

Some carriers choose to deliver the paper immediately when it arrives, while others choose to wait until the next morning. Both are suitable and in alignment with the newspaper’s contract with the carrier.
