Multicultural Festival is July 18 in Amphitheater


A celebration of music, dance and cultural traditions from around the world will take center stage at the Multicultural Festival on Saturday, July 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the Amphitheater. The free community event will feature six performances by Leisure World cultural groups, showcasing the rich diversity of the community. Paws, Claws and Beaks Club


Pet owners are welcome to join the Paws, Claws and Beaks Club’s potluck today, July 9, at the Clubhouse 1 picnic area at 11:30 a.m. People are asked to bring a dish to share. Those who attend will receive an ID tag for their pet and a picture of them with their pet, so people can have a recent photo of their pet if they get separated in a disaster. LW Community Emergency Response Team

LW Community Emergency Response Team


The LW Community Emergency Response Team (LW CERT) safety class will be held on Friday, July 24, at 9 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. At the meeting, LW CERT will ask residents, “Do you have enough clean drinking water to last at least seven days in an emergency?” Following a disaster, clean drinking water may not be available. A person’s regular water source could be cutoff or compromised
