LW Baptist

On May 17, LW Baptist will learn what it means for the church to be God’s people. Christians are holy people, that is, set apart to God. As such, they are God’s special treasure and distinct from the world. They belong to God.

God expects Christians to discern between the holy and the common. Jesus expressed this when he said, “What you put into your mouth does not defile you, but what comes out of your mouth, because it comes from the heart and so is either wholesome or defiled.” Thus, the Bible says, he declared all foods clean.

Christian’s possessions also belong to God, and are acknowledged as such by their offerings and gifts to God and his work.

All people are made in God’s image and likeness, so God’s people are to treat others as they would God himself. Thus Jesus says, “Ye did it unto me.”

LW Baptist Church meets at 10 a.m. on Sundays in Clubhouse 3, Room 2.
