Spread awareness by learning more about diabetes

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month. Surveys show that majority of people cannot identify common myths about diabetes. A recent survey conducted by MedStar Health sheds the light on many misconceptions that people still believe when it comes to diabetes, including treatment and prevention. Insulin was first used to treat diabetes in 1922— that is 100 years of managing diabetes worth celebrating.

MedStar Health experts are available to share more on difference between Types 1 and 2 diabetes, risk factors and symptoms of both types, how to manage it and how prediabetes can be reversed.
