The birth narratives of Jesus Christ in the gospels has been the focus of LW Baptist’s worship this month. The church meets on Sundays at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 4.

This Sunday, Dec. 21, the message will focus on the witness of the shepherds. Luke’s gospel account of their story reveals that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was herself his principal source of information. The angel’s message to the shepherds not to be afraid comes with the Gospel (good news) assurance of peace on earth to people as objects of God’s grace and salvation. When the shepherds found Mary and Joseph and the baby in the manger, they told the angel’s announcement that the baby Jesus is the savior, Christ the Lord. Mary treasured all these things. And all who heard it wondered at the things the shepherds told.
