Life Options Expo at Veterans Plaza is June 27

All are invited to the eighth annual LWSB Life Options Expo on Friday, June 27, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Clubhouse 4 and Veterans Plaza.
This popular annual event brings together nonprofits, service providers and local vendors to showcase a wide range of resources that can help enhance residents’ quality of life.
Residents can explore 86 vendors while snacking on food available for purchase from Koffel’s Food Truck, Lucille’s Smokehouse BBQ and Scooter’s Italian Ice. Seating will be available outside of Clubhouse 3. At 10 a.m., Optum will offer welcome bags to people who sign in. Raffle tickets will be offered at the check-in table, and raffles will be held at 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
From 11 a.m.-1 p.m., celebrated Leisure World musicians Yuri Lotakov and Richard Freedman will perform on piano and trumpet, respectively.
Vendors will offer information on a wide range of topics, including senior transportation options, local caregivers,

advanced planning, county senior services, assisted living, hospice, health insurance, medical supplies, mental health services, emergency preparedness, hoarding and decluttering services, and much more.
This is a great opportunity to take control of one’s health and prepare to age with grace and dignity.

• Free bone density screenings by Primary Care of CA
• Free reading glasses from the Seal Beach Lion’s Club The sponsoring partners of this event are Home Instead, Westmont of Cypress, Angel Connection Nursing Services, Senior Doc, Seal Beach Health & Rehabilitaiton and Silverado Hospice.
Parking will be limited near Clubhouse 4. People are encouraged to use the GRF on-call bus to get to and from the expo. To request a ride, call 562-472-1367. Residents can also flag down one of several dedicated event buses, which will circulate through the community.
