Community Karaoke
The Community Karaoke Club’s Wednesday night karaoke parties are lively, with happy folks waiting their turn to perform for the audience.
On June 4, the beautiful 1950s hit “Blue Velvet” was a smooth number by Craig Gall. With high energy, Karen Morris followed with a country tune. The rich voice of Sandy Hyman sang the popular “Unchained Melody.”
A duet with Lori Chamberlin and Richard Yokomi mesmerized the audience. Essie Hicks sold her song with a lot of expression.
Vinny Correnti and Susan Kelleghan had fun trying out a new tune. Music is about expression and feeling. Some members really know how to communicate with the audience while singing.
Folks come to karaoke practice sessions to find their key range, select a rendition or just to try karaoke singing for the first time. These sessions are held each Monday in Clubhouse 6 from 1-3 p.m.
All are welcome to join the club’s karaoke parties which are held each Wednesday in Clubhouse 1 from 5:30-9:30 p.m.
