Fellowship will continue after service in the Fellowship Hall to celebrate the May birthdays of Robert Bohlig, Ray, Grier and Darleen Gardner, Linda Peters, Christa Diesslin, Rod Sciborski, Jacklyn Shaw, Patricia Aarsvold, and Kathy Strople with coffee, tea, cookies and snacks.

The congregations continue to collect donations of canned and boxed foods for the hungry.

The Church Council meeting will be on Wednesday, May 28, at 1:30 p.m.

The Bible Study meets on Wednesdays at noon in the basement of the Fellowship Hall. The group is currently studying the Sermon on the Mount. Bring a Bible and a lunch to the study. Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount is recorded in Matthew 5-7, with some cross-reference from Luke’s writings about these teachings of Jesus.

On Sunday, May 25, participants will be able to pick up the Sermon on the Mount handout for this class on the back table of the sanctuary.

The gospel lesson for this week is from John 24:44-53. It is the beautiful prayer Jesus makes to the Father. Jesus not only prays for his followers to be united at that time but also prays for those who will follow because of their word to be united. Jesus ends the prayer with the hope that the love he and the Father share, is shared with those who follow him.
