The America First Republican Club will meet on Wednesday, May 21, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, starting with a snack and social time at 4:30 p.m. The business meeting starts at 5.

The education session will be on the New California State (NCS) initiative. The featured speaker will be Roseann DiCostanzo, Orange County chair and senator of NCS, as well as delegate for New California’s Constitution in preparation for statehood. She is an Orange County native.

NCS is following Article IV, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution to separate part of current California (just like West Virginia did) and become the 51st State. So, this topic fits in with the club’s continuing study of the U.S. Constitution. The NCS movement is designed to solve California’s $1.4 trillion debt and related crises (ineffective education, sanctuary state, escalating lawlessness, neglected infrastructure, mounting homelessness, etc.) by starting a new state.

In other activities, a contingent of club members recently attended the nationally syndicated Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA rally on the Cal State Long Beach campus on May 5. These rallies are being held at colleges and universities nationwide and feature one-on-one debates with students. The purpose is to educate students on the importance of freedom, free markets, and limited government.

This rally was a major event with at least a 1,000 students in attendance. The event was recorded, and this event and others can be seen on YouTube. Club members received “Make America Great Again” hats and several met Steve Hilton, former conservative talk show host and current candidate for governor.

The club welcomes new members at the meetings and Information Booth outside Clubhouse 6 on Monday, May 19, from 9-11 a.m.
