Community invited to President’s Day ceremony

AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY

The community is invited to meet on Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 17, at Veterans Plaza at 1 p.m. for a short prayer ceremony to honor deceased veterans. If the weather is cold, it will be moved to Clubhouse 3, Room 1. To have a veteran’s name included on the prayer list, call American Legion Auxiliary president Carolyn van Aalst at 562-343-8424. The event will be followed by the general meeting and installation of new members, which guests are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served.

Residents are invited to the annual American Legion Auxiliary Fashion Show on March 8 in Clubhouse 2 at 11 a.m. A delicious pasta buffet will be served. Enjoy spring fashions and unexpected fun along with a chance to win a prize from the generous donations by local businesses. Prizes include tickets for the South Coast Repertory, Aquarium of the Pacific, Musical Theater West, Kobe Steak House, Spaghettini’s, Naples Rib Company, The Beach House, The Original Fish Company, Sprouts, basket from Ralph’s, cooking class at Prep Kitchen, coffee baskets, Omaha Steak basket and Roger Dunn.
