Community Church

The first Sunday of the month is Communion Sunday. Everyone is welcome to join the first Sunday of the new year, Jan. 5. The Community Church practices an open table—all who join in the first Sunday of the month are welcome to receive communion. Come early for a cup of coffee in the Narthex. All are welcome.

This Sunday, we’ll dive into the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 2:1-12. The word gospel means good news. Those who haven’t gotten any good news lately are welcome to join. The church is located at 14000 Church Place in Leisure World, and open to anyone who is feeling anxious or uncertain, or looking for a sanctuary and a safe community. On Sunday, Jan. 19, the Quartet Aido will perform the music of Franz Joseph Haydn and Felix Mendelssohn at the Community Church at 3 p.m. Tickets are $20, and $15 for seniors and students. Refreshments will be served after the concert.

Those who cannot afford to attend, can call the church office at 562-431-2503 for a sponsored ticket. Those who wish to buy a ticket for someone else, can also call the church office.
