Leisure World Democrats and supporters are reminded again about the importance of voting in the special primary election to replace Janet Nguyen as LW’s representative in the California Senate.

The LW Democratic Club has endorsed immigration attorney Jimmy Pham for election in the Feb. 25 primary. Pham is one of over 15,000 attorneys and law professors who are members of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

The club’s Feb. 19 Voter Education session in Clubhouse 3, Room 3, at 1 p.m. will feature a showing of the movie “A Day Without Mexicans.” In March, Bob Cohen will lead a discussion on how to research the news. Advance registrations are not required.

The speaker for the Feb. 26 membership meeting will be Kristin Langlois, spokesperson for the Community Action Fund of Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties. Langlois will present information about the future of Planned Parenthood, on both the national and local levels. She will also share suggestions as to what people can do to help weather the perilous future being faced.
