The mad dash to Christmas, with all the busyness, is over. It is a suitable time to take a breath and pause for a moment of relaxation before heading into the new year.

One can be reactive or proactive regarding the possibilities a new year offers. Waiting for circumstances to dictate actions may lead to hasty decisions and undesirable outcomes. Intentionally reordering priorities will often lead to better outcomes. A string of better outcomes will lead to a better year.

Pastor Chuck Franco’s sermon this week titled, “Better Priorities,” is to help prepare for the year ahead. One of the best things to prioritize is spiritual health. Take the first steps toward a better new year by closing out this year gathering with fellow believers for corporate worship.

The Wednesday Bible study will resume Wednesday, Jan. 8, with a new study by Francis Chan, “What is a Christian?”

LW Assembly of God meets Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The Wednesday Bible study is at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The Hymn Sing is held on the fourth Sunday of the month at 6 p.m in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby.
