LW Baptist Church

LW Baptist Church meets for worship every Sunday at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2.

On Sunday, Nov. 8, the message will study how Scripture from Genesis to revelation celebrates the matchless attributes and works of God.

As Psalm 72:13 says, “He will have compassion on the poor and needy, and the lives of the needy he will save.”

The Bible shows how divine compassion operates. Jonah tells how far God’s compassion reaches to save people.

Jesus promised Israel a sign.

He would die and on the third day rise again. Jonah too was a sign to the Ninevites. He preached there after spending three days in a fish’s belly. God had promised Abraham that his seed, singular, that is the Christ, would be a blessing to the whole world. Jesus said, “Many will come from east and west and sit at table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of God.” And so Christians pray, “Thy kingdom come.”
