The SBLW Democratic Club welcomed U.S. Congressman Robert Garcia (CA-42) to a standing-room-only, overflow crowd of over 250 members and neighbors. Delivering an inspiring, upbeat, and forwardlooking address, Garcia laid out a clear vision for government accountability, fairness and transparency as he prepares to take the gavel of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee if Democrats retake the House majority. The Congressman spoke directly about restoring trust in public institutions.

Garcia reminded everyone that standing up for accountability, and traditional community values is the true definition of patriotism. He urged members to never let anyone question their devotion to the country or suggest that they are anything less than proud American patriots.

Garcia detailed the core platform that will guide his chairmanship on the House Oversight Committee including: 1. Investigating Trump and his family for corruption.

2. Reforming ICE and DHS. 3. Tracking corporate corruption and consumer exploitation.

4. Demanding justice and full disclosure of the Epstein Files.
