Community Karaoke Club

Despite the rainy evening on Oct. 21, 40 enthusiastic karaoke performers brought plenty of joy to Clubhouse 1 during the Community Karaoke Club’s weekly karaoke night, held from 5:30-9:30 p.m.

Dave Needle is an animated performer who delights the audience, while Joyce Bannon touched hearts with a beautiful ballad. Frank Farmer enjoys country tunes, and James Farr had fun singing a happy number. Husband-and-wife team, Walt and Sue Piippo, are always a hit with the crowd. Vito Villamor keeps dancers eager to hit the floor with his song selections. Crooner Walt Bier has plenty of favorite tunes to share, and Steve Harris delivered a lively rhythm-and-blues number.

On Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, singers are encouraged to browse the patriotic section of the club’s songbook and choose a song to honor U.S. veterans.

All are welcome to join the club’s Monday practice sessions in Clubhouse 6 from 1-3:30 p.m. It’s an opportunity to find the right key, try different renditions and build confidence.
