First Christian Church

First Christian Church of Leisure World teaches from God’s word, the Holy Bible, verse by verse. It is a friendly church that welcomes all visitors to join in worship and explore God’s word together.

Pastor’s Message

“God gave a command to the skies above and opened the doors of the heavens; he rained down manna for the people to eat; he gave them the grain of heaven” Psalm 78:23-25. This verse is in reference to how God provided for the Israelites as they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. Each day, he provided the perfect food that would sustain them.

Job 23:12 says “I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my daily bread.” Job, though he went through much anguish, found strength to prevail in the words of God.

Although believers today do not receive manna from heaven, they do have God’s words available to them. Half of the New Testament are the words of Jesus are written in order to feed, sustain, and bring joy and salvation to all believers, just as the psalmist in Psalm 119:105 wrote, “The Word is a guide and light for life’s journey.”
