Watch ‘Great Awakening’ movie on Aug. 5 and 12

Faith Christian Assembly will host a special two-part movie screening event on Wednesdays, Aug. 5 and 12, starting at 11 a.m. in the church sanctuary at 13820 Seal Beach Blvd., right outside of St. Andrews Gate. “A Great Awakening” in be shown two parts.

Released in theaters April of this year, the movie is the story of the unlikely friendship and partnership between the passionate evangelist George Whitefield and the rational, secular Benjamin Franklin, and highlights how the spiritual transformation ignited by the First Great Awakening helped unite the 13 colonies and prepared them for the American Revolution. It’s an inspiring story. All residents are invited to invite friends and neighbors to this free event.
