First Christian Church

First Christian Church of Leisure World teaches from God’s word, the holy Bible, verse by verse. It is a friendly church that welcomes all visitors to join in worship and explore God’s word together, “that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine,” Romans 1:12.

Pastor’s Message

Psalm 113 begins and ends with the same three words: “Praise the Lord!” This is true of many Psalms, and even though it is repeated many times, it cannot be overlooked the importance of those three words to God’s people.

Scripture says that God dwells in the praises of his people. People were created to praise the Lord. Each day should begin and end with praise to the creator, thanking him for mercies new each morning and offering praises of thanks each night for the rest and healing to bodies during sleep.

“From the rising of the sun to its going down the Lord’s name is to be praised,” Psalm 117:3.
