First Christian Church

First Christian Church of Leisure World teaches from God’s word, the holy Bible, verse by verse. It is a friendly church that welcomes all visitors to join in worship and explore God’s word together, “that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine,” Romans 1:12.

Pastor’s Message

Psalm 104 says, “God established the earth upon its foundations, so that it will not totter forever and ever. He set the boundaries of the great seas and sends the rains from the heavens to water the mountains.”

In Exodus, God had instructed Moses to ask Pharoah to allow the enslaved Hebrew people in Egypt to be let free. The people of the land of that time worshiped approximately 80 other gods and goddesses. The God making the request to Pharoah was the creator of all the things the people worshiped.

The apostle Paul spoke to citizens of Greece who worshiped an “unknown god” and wrote this, “He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us,” Acts 17:26-27 Weekly Services

Sunday services are held from 9:30-10:45 a.m. and traditional services with hymnal music led by Janet Ray with Sherry Parmenter at the piano. Al and Sherry Parmenter will bring the special music this week. Saturday services are held from 9:30-10:45 a.m. and include contemporary songs of worship, led by Gregory Black with guitar and vocal accompaniment.

Midweek Studies

Melli Herrera leads the women’s Bible study on Mondays from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

The Bible study is on Thursdays from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and the prayer and Bible study on Fridays from 4-5 p.m.
