Community Church

LW Community Church accepts non-perishable food items all year round, and makes them available to those in need through its partnership with We Care, whose motto is “Preventing Homelessness. Restoring Hope.” People can bring donations of food or personal items to the office at 14000 Church Place on Tuesdays-Thursdays, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., or to the worship service on Sundays at 9:30 a.m.

On Sunday, Sept. 13, the church will continue in the Season of Creation series with a look at the power of forgiveness in Matthew’s Gospel and the creation of the sky in Genesis 1.

The church’s Blessing of the Animals will be held on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 9:30 a.m. People are responsible for the care and behavior of the animals they bring, and can also bring a photo of the pet if it’s more convenient.

Community Church makes a point of welcoming everyone who wants to be a part of its growing community of faith. Following the teachings of Jesus, the church intentionally extends that welcome to all, including LGBTQIA+ siblings, immigrants and women.
