Community Church

Community Church will hold a duo recital with violinist Er-Gene Kahng and pianist Hanna Yi on Sunday, Aug. 2, at 4 p.m. at 14000 Church Place. The two musicians will play songs from Ludwig van Beethoven and Edvard Grieg. All are welcome to attend.

At its weekly service on Sunday, Aug. 2, at 9:30 a.m. Community Church will look at the miracle of Jesus feeding of 5,000. In the Scripture, it only counts the 5,000 men who attended Jesus’ talk, but it also mentioned that Jesus’ miracle also covered the women and children who were there in addition to the 5,000 men. Pastor Johan Dodge will teach the miracle in this story, but it might not be the one most believers focus on.

Community Church in Leisure World believes the call of Jesus wasn’t to repent and believe, but rather to go beyond and act. Those who have been hurt by the church in the past are welcome to join. All are welcome who are welcoming to all.
