LW Korean Community Church
Senior Pastor Yong Jangyoung delivered a sermon titled “A Church Praised Like the Church in Smyrna,” based on Revelation 2:8-11 to the congregation of LW Korean Community Church on July 19. He emphasized that the church is a community of faith gathered through the love of Jesus Christ and noted that, among the seven churches in Revelation, only the churches in Smyrna and Philadelphia received praise and comfort without any rebuke.
Pastor Yong urged the church today to practice service and love, and to remain a community that holds fast to its faith amidst any tribulation or suffering. He also shared the promise of the “crown of life” for believers who remain faithful to the end—heeding the Lord’s command to “be faithful, even to the point of death.”
Following the sermon, a special musical performance by Jang Mi-kyung, a worship minister serving in Hawaii, brought inspiration to the congregation.
Jang sang “I Love the Lord”, “I’d Rather Have Jesus”, “God’s Passion” and “Bless.” The confessions of faith and messages of love embedded in each song offered comfort and hope to the hearts of the congregation.
LWKCC meets for worship at 14000 Church Place every Sunday at 11:30 a.m. The early morning prayer service, led by the senior pastor, is held in the sanctuary at 6 a.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays.
