Karaoke Club: Weekly Karaoke Nights

Wednesday nights in Clubhouse 1 are a bustling, happy place filled with music and friendship from 5:30-9:30 p.m. during the Karoake Club’s weekly karaoke nights. All are welcome.

On July 8, Carmen Edwards awaited her turn to serenade the audience with her lovely voice. Newcomer Carla Watson was a delightful surprise, earning enthusiastic applause for her rendition of “Georgia on My Mind.” Donna Bocoskey shined with a smooth, easygoing pop tune, while Marti Stroman captured everyone’s attention with her pleasant voice. Tony Tupas selected the fitting song “Home,” which begins with the words, “Another summer day.” Before the evening ends, folks join in for a few group songs—sending them home humming a tune and looking forward to the next Wednesday.

All are invited to try karaoke for the first time or fine-tune a song during karaoke practice sessions each Monday from 1-3 p.m. in Clubhouse 6. Whether people enjoy singing or simply listening and cheering on the performers, they will find a welcoming evening of music and fellowship.
