Gratitude for Cares Fund was on display at Life Options Expo

The Leisure World Cares Fund has been seeking out residents on low fixed incomes who are struggling to pay their HOA fees and providing them with a $200/month subsidy.

To date, 30 such awards have begun.

Many of those recipients sent in letters of gratitude, some of which were on display at the recent GRF Life Options Expo on June 26 at Clubhouse 4.

Here are some of their comments: • “Thank you so much; your help is going to make my life less stressful. Knowing there is still come human kindness in the world is a beautiful gift.”

• “I want to express my gratitude for the financial support you provided. It has given me peace of mind and security since the recent death of my husband.”

• “You are a lifesaver, and I’m so grateful for all you’ve done to help me and all the other struggling shareholders in LW.”

• “I wish to express my gratitude to all the wonderful folks in Leisure World who contributed to my income supplement. This takes off a lot of stress associated with me managing my finances and improving my quality of life.”

• “All of you are to be commended for your heartfelt generosity to strangers. I will be reminded every month of your kindness. I’m so grateful.”

Applications are held in strict confidence, and awards are determined within a few days.

Donations are needed to expand the program and can be made at the website or by using any of the contact methods.
