LW Pool Club

On June 27, five women from the Huntington Landmark in Huntington Beach came to play a dozen women from the Leisure World Pool Club.

Huntington Landmark is a gated community for seniors and has 1,278 units. It has six pool tables and an active pool club. The players started play at 10:30 a.m. and played singles matches until 1 p.m. At noon there was a lunch break and a chance to socialize and get to know the neighbors from nearby Huntington Beach.

This was not a tournament for prize money, but wins and losses were tracked. Jane Westall, of the Leisure World Pool Club, had the best record with five wins and no losses. The players from Landmark were very competitive and played well.

There was talk about a pool tournament between the two clubs as a future event.
