First Christian Church

First Christian Church of Leisure World teaches from God’s word, the Holy Bible, verse by verse. It is a friendly church that welcomes all visitors to join in worship and explore God’s word together.

Pastor’s Message

A beloved verse among Christians is Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God.”

It is up to believers to be still and know he is God, the creator of life and the one who knows a believer’s every need.

A few of his many gifts to believers are found in the following verses: Philippians 4:7, 1 John 4:7, 1 Thessalonians 5:9, and Romans 6:23.

The list goes on and on. A great place to go when the world gets hectic is in the Bible, the source for discovering who God is. Being still and allowing his words to fill believers with his peace brings healing and comfort to their souls.

Weekly Services

Sunday services are held from 9:30-10:45 a.m. and are traditional with hymnal music led by Janet Ray with Ruth Bonnema at the piano. The choir will sing this week.

Saturday services held from 9:30-10:45 a.m. include contemporary songs of worship, led by Gregory Black with guitar and vocal accompaniment.

Midweek Studies

Melli Herrera leads the Women’s Bible Study on Mondays from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

The Thursday Bible Study is held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and the Friday Prayer and Bible Study from 4-5 p.m.
