The Sunshine Club will meet on Friday, June 12, at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2.

The speaker will be Chad Berlinghieri, an international opera singer who has toured through Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. He spent 15 years as resident artist with Opera Pacific at The Orange County Performing Arts Center and he was a five-time guest of the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Berlinghieri recently resurrected the cultural arts department at the Christ Cathedral, produced the first ever “Messiah” at The Musco Center of the Arts, co-produced “The Chieftains” at Soka Performing ArtsCenterandbrought Valentine’s “Love Songs” to the Queen Mary. Now he is at the Downey Performing Arts Center, bringing world class productions to the major arts venues of Southern California.

In 2020, he founded the Seal Beach Symphony, bringing people together through education and exceptional artistry to enrich and inspire the local culture.

In 2024, Berlinghieri founded the Seal Beach Rotary Club. Its mission is to provide service to others, promote integrity and advance goodwill and peace through the fellowship of business, professional and community leaders. Currently there are 25 volunteers who support local nonprofits in need such as Ronald McDonald House, Precious Life Shelter, Precious Lamb Kindergarten and Father-Con, among many other causes.

The SB Rotary Club meets every second and fourth Tuesday for lunch at Old Ranch Country Club.

All residents are welcome to join this meeting. The Sunshine Club requires no membership fees, but donations are appreciated.
