The Democratic Club gives a massive shout-out and heartfelt thanks to the incredible team of grassroots canvassers who have spent the past several weeks pounding the pavement to get out the vote. These dedicated canvassers walked countless miles across Leisure World, bringing energy and passion to every doorstep. Their tireless dedication is the very backbone of the club’s presence. Knocking on doors and having face-to-face conversations takes incredible stamina, and the phenomenal spirit of our volunteers keeps our community strong, connected and deeply engaged.

Beginning in June, the hospitality booth will be open the third Thursday, June 18. The hospitality booth is located outside Clubhouse 6 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Volunteers will help people register to vote, update an address or change party affiliation. The booth also offers campaign literature, lively discussions on current events and a welcoming environment. For more information, contact Rachael Lehmberg at rlehmberg815@gmail.com.

All are welcome to the Lunch Bunch at Hof’s Hut at 11:30 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month. The next lunch will be July 1. For more information, contact Debbie Wrathall at Debbiewrathall@ mac.com.

The next Voter Education session will be held July 8 at 10:30 a.m., in Clubhouse 3, Room 3. For more information, contact

beverleybender@gmail.com. Voter education sessions are held on the second Wednesday of each month.

The SBLW Democratic Club believes health care is a right, diversity is a strength, the economy should work for everyone and that facts and truth matter.
