First Christian Church

First Christian Church of Leisure World teaches from God’s word, the Holy Bible, verse by verse. It is a friendly church that welcomes all visitors to join in worship and explore God’s word together “that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine,” Romans 1:12.

Pastor’s Message

“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living,” Psalms 27:13. The writer of this Psalm lived over 3,000 years ago, yet he was expressing his belief in the goodness of the Lord, not only then but also in the future to come.

The Bible declares the goodness of God in the scriptures in the New and Old Testaments. It tells of the creation of the heavens and the earth, the creation of mankind, and the creation of all living things for food and health.

Throughout the Old Testament scriptures there was a promise of a savior, which was fulfilled in Jesus. This is the promise that he made to believers: eternal life through belief in Christ Jesus.

Psalms 27 closes with this, “Wait for the Lord, be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord.” There is more goodness to come.
