The Concerned Shareholders Club will meet on June 25 at 1 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2.

During its meeting on May 28, the club focused on financial oversight and community engagement. GRF Treasurer Sandy Geffner was the guest speaker at the meeting. He introduced himself by highlighting his extensive educational and professional background, particularly his strong foundation in mathematics and financial analysis. During the presentation, Geffner outlined several goals and priorities aimed at improving financial awareness and accountability within the community. A major focus was keeping costs as low as possible to help offset the continuing impact of inflation on residents.

Geffner encouraged shareholders to actively monitor expenses, ask questions, and continue seeking answers until concerns are fully addressed. He also expressed support for a Town Hall meeting dedicated to budgets. Additional topics included encouraging both staff and directors to think “outside the box” when addressing challenges facing the community, as well as urging residents to review budget variances by focusing first on year-to-date figures rather than month-tomonth changes.

The meeting generated strong audience participation and discussion. The club’s attention will now turn toward the upcoming budget process.
