LW Baptist Church

LW Baptist meets every Sunday at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2.

On Sunday, May 31, the church will study the way God calls his people to rejoice in the salvation he has provided for them past, present and future. Israel’s great festivals in the Bible prefigure celebrating Christ’s saving work. Looking back to the cross the saints sing a new song, saying, “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open the seals because you were slain and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.”

On the day of Pentecost, Peter saw 3,000 people turn in faith to Christ. He later declared that God chose the nations to hear the Gospel and become incorporated with God’s people. The prophets foretell a coming day when all peoples together will say, “Behold This Is Our God for whom we have waited that he might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”
