Shuffl eboard Club spring season is two thirds over

With the Tuesday league finishing on June 2 and the Friday league completing their play on June 5, the spring season of the Shuffleboard Club is winding down and is two-thirds over. Some members continue to practice each week on Monday mornings, and special events are held apart from league play throughout the year.

There is always something to look forward to for club members. Upcoming events for members include the last Friday luncheon on May 29, the general membership meeting on Monday, June 1, in Clubhouse 1 at 10 a.m., and the annual Joan LaCascia Memorial Tournament, to be held on Saturday afternoon, June 13.

Tuesday evening, May 5 league results: Team Karen snuck past Team Jesus 7-5 and Team Sally bested Team Bob 7-3. All-game winners for the evening were Roger Bennett, Sandy Bush, Sally Fowler, Devon James, Heather Moore, Bo Sams and Ellie West.

Friday morning, May 8 league results: Team Patti and Team Shel tied the score at 6-6 as did Team Susan versus Team Rod.

All-game winners were Lee Broadbent, Vivian Ceballos, Sally Fowler, Lynne Haines, Shel Magnuson, Jack O’Brien and Rod Osgood.
