First AuthorSpeak event of 2026 features author Carolyn Huynh

The Leisure World Library will hold its first AuthorSpeak event of 2026 at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 12, at Veterans Plaza.

Carolyn Huynh’s debut novel, “The Fortunes of Jaded Women,” was selected as a Good Morning America Book Club pick in 2022. Her latest novel, “The Family Recipe,” is a funny and poignant tale of one family’s search for belonging and understanding. In order to receive their inheritance, four sisters are tasked with revitalizing their father’s run-down sandwich shops across the United States.

The presentation begins promptly at 11 a.m. Arrive as early as 10:30 a.m. to enjoy refreshments provided by the library and to find preferred seating. Books will be available for purchase.
