Congregation Sholom
Congregation Sholom will hold a Zoom service with Rabbi Karen Isenberg on Friday, May 22, at 6:30 p.m. Rabbi Mike Mymon will lead the Shavuot service on Saturday, May 23, in Clubhouse 3, Room 9, and on Zoom at 10 a.m. Yizkor will be recited. Starting Wednesday, June 3, Joyce Basch, a “Ms.gician” from the Magic Castle will give a four-week magic course in Clubhouse 3, Room 9, from 1-3 p.m. People learn to cut and restore a rope or vanish a coin. Learn how to handle cards, do card tricks and do magic with ordinary objects. The cost is $70 per person, for a Congregation Sholom member or $60 per person for couples. All proceeds will go to the Congregation Sholom general fund. To register, email joycebasch@verizon.net.
On June 14, Congregation Sholom will host a theater trip to see “Footloose” at the Gem Theater in Garden Grove. The show begins at 2 p.m., and tickets are $35 per person. Carpools are available.
