Community Church
Community Church will celebrate the last Sunday of Easter on May 17. This week’s theme has ancient roots in Ireland. A triskele is a Celtic symbol used to represent the trinity and the circle of life. It is a symbol found carved into stones dating back to the Neolithic period 3100 BCE.
The three circles can represent the unity of body, mind and soul or life, death and new life. The cycle of life is perpetual: implying hope and the prospect of new beginnings.
This symbol also speaks to the language of Jesus in John’s Gospel as he describes what it is to be one in God.
As a reminder, the word Gospel means good news. Those looking for a message of encouragement are welcome to join Community Church for a time of worship on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Community Church is located inside Leisure World near St. Andrews Gate at 14000 Church Place. No prior church experience is required. All are welcome who are welcoming to all.
