LW Arirang Club

The LW Arirang Club meets Sundays upstairs in Clubhouse 6 from 5-8 p.m. The club provides residents the opportunity to experience Arirang while learning to play and enjoy the janggu, a traditional a Korean hourglass shaped drum, and to drum. Playing the janggu and drum promotes movement, concentration and emotional expression while enjoying social interactions.

Participants express different emotions through playing soft, slow, fast or strong. Playing includes standing, sitting, marching, upper body extension, and arm swinging in unison with leader.

The club is led by Mutual 15 resident Young Park, who brings over 30 years of experience to the class. New members are welcome. Those interested in joining should contact Park at 909-580-0590 or Connie Kang at 909-576-7956.
