Joyful Line Dance

The Joyful Line Dance Club meets on Thursdays in Clubhouse 2 from 10 a.m.-noon. The club has two instructors—Albert Comia and Karen Kei. When one of them is away the other one picks up the teaching responsibilities. In Comia’s absence, Kei has been teaching two-hour classes with the help of experienced dancers— Carmel Atkinson, Gina Baik, Nak Soo Kim, Helen Evangelista and Joy Azurin. The Joyful Line Dance Club is grateful for Kei’s dedication and willingness to step in when needed.

All classes start with an easy-to-follow routine, which advances in the second hour after a break. Members also learn a new dance every month.

People must be members of the club to take classes, and sign in with their names, Mutual and unit numbers. Annual membership is $20 and cannot be prorated. Exercise shoes are recommended.

The club’s more advanced dancers may assist instructors in class, which has a positive impact on both the teachers and students.
