GRF BOARD

The GRF Board voted April 28 to ratify a contract with a new service provider to support Proptia, which is Leisure World’s visitor and gate access system.
In an April 14 executive session, the board approved the transition from current provider CG Systems to Barton Integration, a company with 30 years of commercial security experience. This move will address urgent operational needs and mitigate ongoing risks, according to a GRF staff report.
CG Systems facilitated the implementation of Proptia’s visitor management and access control systems in 2023. The company managed the technical onboarding process, including hardware installation (such as license plate recognition cameras) and more.
The move to Barton Integration is expected to be less expensive in the long run and supply operational efficiencies not provided by CG Systems, such as 24/7 phone support and next-businessday onsite consultations among other improvements in service levels.
The board entered a 12-month contract with a service cost of $1,945 per month. This is an increase of $150 per month over the current service cost but future costs, especially those related to the pedestrian gates, are expected to be considerably lower. The new provider offers 24/7 phone support and next-business day onsite consultations.
