GRF Weekend Dance Schedule: May
The weekend dance lineup for May includes:
• The Velvetones Ballroom Dance Orchestra on May 3 and 17: Come see Leisure World’s own professional big band, playing big band swing and jazz standards. They’ll play May 3 and May 17 from 6-9 p.m. in Clubhouse 4. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The group performs the first and third Sundays of every month.
• Vinyl Rock on May 9: GRF’s classic rock band Vinyl Rock will perform Saturday, May 9, in Clubhouse 4 from 6:30-9 p.m. The band will perform the second Saturday of every month except December.
• Abilene on May 23: Abilene is Leisure World’s No. 1 country rock band going strong for 22 years. The band will perform Saturday, May 23, from 6-9 p.m. in Clubhouse 2.
GRF Dance Rules:
• No table saving. People can bring their own snacks.
• Attendees must be out of the clubhouse no later than 10 p.m.
• No announcements are permitted from the stage, except by the bands.
• Clubhouse lighting and audio-visual equipment can only be adjusted by the custodian according to the instructions they have been given
• Be sure to sign in, either as a resident or guest, in the proper spot. This is the only way GRF can track the popularity of residents’ favorite bands.
