LWers are invited to attend a Doc Talk event on Friday, April 24, at 10 a.m., in Optum HCC Large Conference Room. Vitas Healthcare Medical Director Dr.
Robert Nguyen will talk about advanced cardiac disease.
This lecture is a part of series on health topics of interest to older adults, including:
• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): Friday, May 29
• Cancer: Friday, July 31
• Renal System: Friday, Aug. 28
• Alzheimer’s/Dementia: Friday, Sept. 25 Dr. Nguyen is an internal medicine specialist. After completing medical school training at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, he collaborated in cardiac arrest research at Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York, and completed his internal medicine residency at Brookdale University Hospital andMedical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Nguyen also completed a fellowship in hospice and palliative care at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center.
