Community Church
LW residents live in a gated community and many of the things that they need are available inside the gate, but there are also things that are needed beyond the gate, such as food and more advanced medical care. This week, Community Church will look at two metaphors for Jesus—one as the shepherd and the other as the gate to the sheepfold.
From both metaphors, Pastor Johan Dodge will study the question: “To whom are we listening?” for the message on Sunday, April 26, at 10 a.m. While Community Church will never be political from the pulpit, Pastor Johan will discuss matters of faith and the question of to whom believers should listen to.
This Sunday’s theme is the butterfly. The life of the caterpillar as it goes into a cocoon and emerges as a butterfly is perhaps the most common symbol of regeneration, transformation and new life.
As a reminder, the word Gospel means good news. Those looking for a message of encouragement are welcome to join Community Church for a time of worship on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Community Church is located inside Leisure World near St. Andrews Gate at 14000 Church Place. No prior church experience is required. All are welcome who are welcoming to all.
