Why To Vote When A Candidate Is Running Unopposed

Everyone’s participation in the election process is critical for the operation of this community.

The return of each properly cast ballot ensures that each Mutual will obtain the necessary number of votes to produce the annual meeting and counting of ballots, otherwise known as quorum.

Those who decide to not cast their votes for any of the candidates are still encouraged to vote by checking the box labeled “abstain from voting—ballot counted for quorum only” portion of the ballot. This lets shareholders participate in the election process by returning a properly cast ballot.
