Monday Golf On Jan. 23, nine golfers attacked the 5,600yard, par 70 Meadowlark Golf Course in Huntington Beach. Temps were in the low 40s and the skies were clear, with no wind. The course is in wonderful conditions although quite wet due to early morning watering. Once the greens dried out, putting became easier and the ball rolled more consistently improving overall play. In the second week of the LW Pool League, held on Monday and Wednesday nights in Clubhouse 2, the matches were not as close as in the first week. On Monday the Renegades won 9-4 over the Cue Crew. CANCELED EVENT Pickleball courts closed to add fencing The free pickleball lesson advertised in last week’s issue of the LW Weekly has been canceled. From Feb. 13-17, the Pickleball Courts will be closed to install new fencing. The exact installation dates will depend on weather.
