July 4 celebration featured country music galore in CH 1
KARAOKE CLUB
Clubhouse 1 is a happy, bustling place every Wednesday evening from 5:30-9:30 p.m. during the Karaoke Club’s weekly karaoke nights. On July 1, the club celebrated the United States with a lively country-western theme, filling Clubhouse 1 with songs about horses, trucks and patriotism.
Between 35 and 40 enthusiastic singers take the microphone to entertain the audience. They choose their selections from the club’s extensive songbooks, organized by both artist and title. There are also special categories for patriotic songs, duets, holiday music and show tunes, as well as Hawaiian, Spanish, Italian and Irish songs. With more than 10,000 song versions available in the karaoke computer, there’s something for everyone.
Singers looking to build confidence or learn a new song are invited to join the karaoke practice sessions every Monday from 1-3 p.m. in Clubhouse 6. It’s a relaxed, friendly setting where singers can rehearse, receive encouragement, and discover how much fun karaoke can be.
