Sunshine Club

The Sunshine Club will meet on Friday, May 15, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 10 a.m. with Audiologist Dr. Ian Gerszewski, Au.D.

During the meeting, Gerszewski will speak about how hearing connects to a person’s overall well-being. Gerszewski is the president of South Bay Hearing. With years of experience helping thousands of people reconnect with the sounds that make life meaningful, he brings insight, compassion, and expertise to every conversation about hearing health.

Gerszewski will explain how hearing works, the surprising consequences of untreated hearing loss, and the connection between hearing and brain health, including dementia risk and cognitive function. He’ll also discuss the many brain benefits of treating hearing loss and share simple next steps residents can take to improve overall health and quality of life.

Whether a resident currently wears hearing aids or just wants to learn more about protecting hearing as they age, this presentation offers valuable information for everyone.

All residents are welcome to attend the meeting. The Sunshine Club requires no membership fees, but donations are appreciated. Refreshments will be served.
