Community Church

Community Church will continue to walk through the season of Lent, looking at inverting the season’s focus from sorrow and lament to light and love. Many people are fearful for friends and loved ones and feeling incredibly discouraged and hopeless. The Hebrew scriptures this week remind believers that while there are times of testing and quarreling, those times can be marked and moved past. Community Church seeks to move past the times of trial to embrace the divine truth that believers are already loved, and that as God’s beloved, they are tasked with bringing light and love to the world. Community Church’s Lenten “Shine in the Darkness” suggestions this week are: March 5: Give a stranger a compliment March 6: Share a meal with a friend March 7: Visit someone March 8: Mini Easter: Be kind today March 9: Tell someone you’re grateful for them March 10: Avoid complaining all day March 11: Send a letter to a friend Community Church meets on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. at 14000 Church Place.
