Assembly of God
As one grows older, and hopefully wiser, it would seem safe to assume that the struggle of navigating life would get easier. Unfortunately, just when it seems things are beginning to fall into place, the terrain changes. Once trustworthy practices and assumptions no longer apply in the new circumstances. That is when people need a trustworthy compass to provide clear direction.
Hebrews 12:2 provides the picture of Jesus as the author and perfecter of faith who endured the cross, and now sits in the place of honor at God’s throne. No matter the terrain or life changes, there is assurance and peace, as long as the focus remains on Jesus. Pastor Chuck Franco’s message for Sunday, Nov. 2, is titled “Keep Your Eyes on Jesus.”
The Wednesday Bible study will wrap up its series with a message titled “What Does it Mean to Have Eternal Life?” During the “Essentials of Faith,” the group broke down the basic beliefs of faith into understandable language, while providing a solid foundation for what Christians believe.
LW Assembly of God meets on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The Wednesday Bible study meets at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The Hymn Sing is held on the fourth Sunday of the month at 6 p.m. in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby.
