LWer celebrates 80th birthday with many friends and family

Jacklyn “Jackie” Taylor celebrated 80 years with style, aloha, and cake galore. The Mutual 17 resident knows how to throw a party; and her birthday celebration last weekend was no exception.

Taylor commented that one guest told her, “You always throw a good party, but this time we were blown away!”

The festivities took over Clubhouse 1 where 105 friends and neighbors gathered for a joyful luau complete with great spread, colorful decorations, melodic music, and hula dancing.

Taylor’s family is large enough to fill a banquet hall—she has 23 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren—but she decided to keep this party bash “local” with just friends and neighbors. Her granddaughter Chelsea Rylander was the only one who was there to represent the family in style.
